Our Classes

Take a look at what classes we offer. Students can take examinations and Assesments in their chosen genre!

Classical Ballet

Ballet employs traditional technique, and is know for its aesthetics and rigorous training: turn out of the legs, pointe work, flexibility and extensions.

Ballet is flowing, and has precise and ethereal movements.

Contemporary

Contemporary is a style of dance that combines elements of ballet, lyrical, modern and jazz. It stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict nature of classical ballet.

AcroDance

AcroDance is a style of dance that combines classical technique with precision and acrobatic elements. It is define by its athletic character and unique choreography which seamlessly blends dance with acrobatics.

Tap

Tap is characterised by using the sounds of metal taps fixed to the shoe, striking the floor as a form of percussion coupled both with characteristic and interpretive body movements.

Theatre Jazz

Theatre Jazz combines the styles of Jazz and Musical Theatre, and within this there are elements of classical ballet and modern dance. Theatre Jazz has its own vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with musical rhythm.

Musical Theatre

Our musical theatre classes offer the development of the skills: acting, singing, movement, improvisation, and confidence. We often combine the use of these skills for shows and performances.

Street/Commercial

Commercial dance style is taken from other dance styles including jazz, street dance and hip hop. These classes are a combination of self expression, energy and performance.

Body Conditioning

Body conditioning combines cardio, resistance and flexibility work to an energetic beat to work out the whole body. This class is free to those who partake in 2+ ballet classes a week, as a continuation on strengthening to help prepare dancers for pointework and a development of that strength when on pointe.
