Dress Code

While it is compulsory to adhere to the dress code we don’t recommend buying any dancewear until you’re certain your child wants to continue with their chosen lessons, therefore we usually lend everything your child needs for the first few weeks and then you can start to gradually purchase their own. The uniform can either be new from our online school shop or second-hand, direct from school, where available, at VERY reasonable prices. Once you’ve bought an item, either new or second-hand you can swap it for free in our second-hand collection once outgrown. Children are allowed to wear leotards until they’ve outgrown them. They don’t have to purchase a new leotard because they’ve progressed to the next grade and we will lend leotards for the exam if the previous colour still fits.

Inclusivity is at the very core of our ethos and we will always do our best to help out in cases of financial difficulty

*Our dress code is based on the required uniform for exams and therefore once you’ve purchased it, there will be no extra expense for dancewear for the exam.

Wearing ballet shoes and tights that match skin tone enhances the leg line, creating a seamless, elongated look that highlights a dancer's form and technique. Offering a range of tones promotes diversity and inclusivity, ensuring all dancers feel represented, fostering a more welcoming and equitable environment in ballet.

Here at SteelPointe we stock a variety of tonal dancewear. This can be purchased from our online shop. Please ask should you require any help.
